API reference / Common / Engine types / TableCellRef
Interface: TableCellRef
Where a cell sits in a Table's dense grid: the [TableRowId] of the row it is in and the [TableColumnId] of the grid column it starts in.
A cell has no id of its own (see TableRegularCell) — the pair is its identity, and it is the pair rather than an index pair because both axes carry ids that survive a concurrent insert or reorder, which (usize, usize) does not.
It sits in the model facet because both facets above it address a cell this way: the layout's TableHit reports one, and the editor's TableSelection anchors a block on two. The spreadsheet's CellRef is its row/column-index cousin, in a grid whose axes carry no ids at all.
A merged cell is named by its origin — the slot that owns the content. A point over a covered slot resolves to the origin, so no address ever names a cell that composes nothing.
